New construction is where you either prove your attention to detail - or expose the lack of it. There's nowhere to hide on a brand new home. Every run of siding, every window trim line, every corner has to be right. That's exactly why we take this kind of work seriously.
Here's what we were working with - a two-storey new build with a clean, modern exterior. The design called for crisp white horizontal siding paired with dark trim and fascia. It's a sharp contrast combo that looks great, but it also means any misalignment or sloppy cuts show up immediately. Our crew worked through the full exterior, covering all four sides of the home with consistent, tight installation throughout.
The windows on this build are worth pointing out. Large patio-style windows at the rear, a wide triple window grouping upstairs, and black-framed windows at the front all had to be properly integrated into the siding installation. Window installation and siding work are closely linked - get one wrong and you create headaches with the other. Water infiltration, air gaps, poor flashing - these are the things that come back to bite a homeowner years later. We take care of it right the first time.
What separates a good exterior from a bad one on a new build usually comes down to the prep and the finishing details. Making sure the house wrap is properly lapped, that trim pieces are cut clean and tight, and that every course of siding runs level across the full wall - that's the work that doesn't get noticed until it's done wrong. Our crew pays attention to all of it.
New builds are one of our favorite types of projects because they give us the chance to set a home up properly from day one. No patching over someone else's mistakes, no working around old material. Just clean, quality siding installation and windows done the way they should be.
